How to use Manage Referrals

SUMMARY:

The MANAGE REFERRALS feature in empowOR helps you track referrals made through the system.

  • How it works:

    • It records the date you follow up on referrals received within empowOR.
    • It tracks whether a family applied for benefits after your contact.
    • It works with the "CHECK ELIGIBILITY" button on the participant's Basic Info screen.
  • How to use MANAGE REFERRALS:
    • When you act on a referral by contacting the participant, you
    • should record your efforts using MANAGE REFERRALS.
    • Go to "PARTICIPANTS" → "REFERRALS."
    • Search for the participant.
    • Click the "EDIT" icon next to the referral. You can track the status of your referral, and if/when your family/participant received services.
    • Record any relevant information in a case note.
