Staff|Donor|Volunteer Menu

 

The Staff Menu in EmpowOR is accessible only to administrators and is used for managing staff, roles, and permissions. It includes the following sections:

1. Manage Staff

  • Add or edit agency staff details, including demographic, personnel, and departmental information.
  • Change and manage staff passwords.
  • View past changes in an Audit Log.
  • Assign staff roles that determine administrative access.
  • Track additional staff details (e.g., training records, certifications) in the Detailed Information tab.
  • Add notes and upload scanned personnel documents.
  • Assign staff to client groups, programs, or work templates via the Assignments tab. Assignments can be by individual staff or by staff role.

2. Manage Staff Access

  • Modify which areas of the system specific user roles can access.
  • Adjust role-based permissions through the Manage Function Access window.
  • Staff members inherit permissions based on their assigned security roles; if multiple roles are assigned, they receive the highest level of permissions available.

3. Manage Staff Roles

  • Create and define distinct staff roles that control access to administrative areas of EmpowOR.
  • Assign new users to specific roles, determining their access levels within the system.
