Workshop/Group Education as Enrollment ONLY

Purpose

• Allows agencies to enroll participants in HUD Workshops and indicate completion in one step
• Provides a streamlined process for single-session workshops

Setup Steps

• Create a New Program Type
  • Use the HUD Workshop Enrollment custom enrollment form
  • If HUD is paying for the workshop, include the Comprehensive HUD Counseling Funding Source in the Program Instance

• Enrollment Process
  • Use GROUP Functions to add enrollments for all workshop attendees
  • Can enroll and mark workshop completion simultaneously

Key Features

• Simplifies tracking for single-session workshops
• Allows bulk enrollment of workshop participants
• Compatible with HUD reporting requirements (9902 form)

Background Context

• Previously, agencies had to:
  • Complete an attendance day
  • Use a "Workshop Complete" service item
  • Track multiple sessions separately

• Now, for single-session workshops:
  • Enrollment form captures attendance and completion
  • Can create enrollment records for multiple people at once

Considerations

• For multi-session workshops, the traditional attendance tracking method should still be used
• The new method is primarily beneficial for single-session workshop enrollment
