Edit Existing Report in Report Builder
Report Builder Landing Page Features
- Displays previously created reports by the user
- Shows shared reports from other staff members
- Reports can be identified by the "Owned by" field under "Data Set"
Important Notes
- Shared reports can only be edited by the owner
- Changes to shared reports affect all users unless they've made copies
- More filters result in more limited data
- Click "Run Report" to view results after making changes
Available Actions for Reports
- Configure Report: Review/edit criteria
- Archive: Remove unneeded reports (reversible)
- Make Copy: Create a duplicate report
- Share: Share with other staff
- Export to Excel: Run and export automatically
- Run: Display results without exporting
Steps to Edit an Existing Report
- Click "Configure Report" to open Configuration window
- Edit Basic Info:
- Click Edit button to rename report
- Add/remove from Custom Reports menu
- Note: Data Set cannot be changed
- Modify Report Columns:
- Add columns by:
- Drag and drop using dots
- Click right arrow next to column name
- Remove columns by:
- Drag back to Available Columns
- Click X next to Display Column field
- Edit Search Filters:
- Click "Configure Filters"
- Add/remove/adjust filters as needed
- Can create nested criteria
- Use connectors (AND/OR) appropriately
- Configure Additional Settings:
- Adjust Sorting Configuration (ascending/descending)
- Modify Grouping Configuration
- Set Aggregate Configuration (Average, Count, Max, Min, Sum)
