Recently it came to our attention that Adobe has done a new update to their software which is causing issues when your forms from document management are downloaded. If your browser is set up to download the document directly to your computer for you to open in Adobe, the document may appear to be blank.
Your form may not actually be blank. Adobe is opening documents with the data masked behind the fillable fields. It makes the form look blank when it actually may not be blank.
We recommend changing your browser settings so that documents open in a new tab instead of auto-download to your computer. When the document opens in your browser, you are able to see all of the data and print without issues. If you are experiencing issues with documents that appear to be blank, this is our first recommended step.
In order to do this, you can paste the following into your browser’s address bar to take you directly to the appropriate setting to adjust:
If you use chrome:
chrome://settings/content/pdfDocuments
If you use edge:
edge://settings/content/pdfDocuments
If you use firefox:
about:preferences#general
You can also use other PDF viewers without experiencing this issue.
