SUMMARY:
The ADD CLIENT SERVICES module in empowOR is designed for streamlined, simplified service recording, ideal for programs like food pantries or congregate meals. This module restricts access to the full empowOR system, making it suitable for volunteers or staff who don’t receive full empowOR training. Key features include:
- Limited Access: Volunteers/staff only see one screen without access to full participant lists or templates.
- Participant Lookup: Quick participant search via manual entry, barcode scanning, or a search tool.
- Service Recording: Users confirm program enrollment, select services, and record the number of units provided.
Prerequisites
- Programs must use the SERVICE DELIVERY GENERAL template (not attendance). The Service Delivery General may have one OR MORE service groups; all service items will appear on the Add Services screen.
- Administrators must assign the program to the staff/volunteer via Program Assignments in the Manage Staff section.
Steps to Assign Access:
- Navigate to STAFF → MANAGE STAFF. Select the staff person or volunteer.
- Click PROGRAM ASSIGNMENTS→ADD PROGRAMS, choose the program, and SAVE & CLOSE.
Staff Instructions
- Log in to empowOR as usual.
- Navigate to the PARTICIPANT tab and select ADD CLIENT SERVICES (third choice).
- On the ADD CLIENT SERVICES screen:
- Enter the Household using one of three methods:
- Manually type the Household ID.
- Scan the Household ID barcode.
- Use the FIND HOUSEHOLD feature to search.
4. If the Household has a current program enrollment, their information will appear.
5. Verify the information is accurate, then click GET SERVICES.
6. Select the services provided, input the number of units received, and save by clicking
ADD ENROLLMENT SERVICE.
Volunteer Instructions
- Log In: Use email and password to access empowOR.
- Open Module: Go to the PARTICIPANT tab → ADD CLIENT SERVICES.
Recording Services:
- Search for Household:
- Scan ID card, enter Household ID, or use FIND HOUSEHOLD to search by name and DOB.
- Verify Information: Confirm program enrollment, household details, and enrollment period.
- Select Services:
- Click GET SERVICES to open service options.
- Enter the number of units provided and click ADD ENROLLMENT SERVICE.
When prompted with SERVICE SAVED SUCCESSFULLY, proceed to the next client.
